FAQs
Indoor Air Quality is the air quality within buildings and structures. IAQ is known to affect the health, comfort, and well-being of building occupants. Poor indoor air quality has been linked to sick building syndrome, reduced productivity, and impair basic motor and cognitive skills. Indoor workplaces are found in many working environments such as offices, sales areas, hospitals, libraries, schools and preschool childcare facilities. IAQ can be affected by gases (including carbon monoxide, radon, volatile organic compounds), particulates, microbial contaminants (mold, bacteria), or any mass or energy stressor that can induce adverse health conditions.
Ionization, filtration, and the use of ventilation to dilute contaminants are the primary methods for improving indoor air quality in most buildings. Residential units can further improve indoor air quality by routine cleaning of carpets and area rugs.
Determination of IAQ involves the collection of air samples and the analysis of contaminant levels in the air.
Poor IAQ is a major health hazard. Often, people are surrounded by air that is not fit for breathing--let alone thriving--and they don't even know it. Recently we've faced Covid-19 which we learned can literally hang suspended in the air for HOURS....that equates to bad indoor air quality!
We are air treatment specialists. We have been in the business of air movement for more than a decade and understand how to create optimal environments for you to live and work in. We deliver a balanced, safe and affordable solution to indoor air quality.
We have the breadth and depth of industry and product knowledge and access to cutting edge technologies to tackle today's challenging air quality issues that few others, if any, possess.
We use cutting edge technologies to analyze indoor air, isolate problem areas and implement advanced equipment to deliver the safest air to your employees and clients in any given indoor space. Having the ability to accurately measure CO2, Humidity, Temperature, PM 0.5-10, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) and Typical particle size pre and post installation, allows our clients to see first-hand how we improve and maintain the air they breathe.
Our cutting-edge technologies include: specialized filters, needlepoint bipolar ionization, and fully integrated variable speed motors and controls allowing us to keep the air you breathe at the highest quality levels and in a low risk category. The versatility and simplicity of the portable units scrub and neutralize pathogens and remove contaminants, thereby improving indoor air quality in real time.
The process, bipolar ionization, creates ions through plasma generation and delivers ionized molecules into the air. When these ions disperse throughout a space, they seek out and form bonds with particles in the air through a process called agglomeration. These ionized molecules can neutralize many chemical compounds, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), sterilize mold and bacteria, and attach to airborne pollutants like dust, pollen and smoke. The larger a cluster of particles becomes, the easier it is for your system to safely filter it out of the air.
Contact with positive and negative ions also has microbicidal effects on pathogens, which disrupts their surface proteins and inactivates them.
- Reduced bacteria and viruses. Because bipolar ions disrupt the surface proteins of
bacteria and viruses, you’ll help protect your space’s inhabitants from illness and
disease. - Reduced dust and mold particles. Bipolar ions that bond with contaminants gain size and mass and drop to the floor, or return to the filter, making them easily cleaned from the air we breathe.
- Reduced odors. Bipolar ions break down odors to help eliminate them.
- Reduced VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). Bipolar ions break down toxic gasses and compounds from dangerous chemicals such as cleaning products, pesticides, paints, solvents, mold, mildew and more.
- Reduced static electricity. Bipolar ionization naturally neutralizes the air, eliminating static charges.
- Significantly reduced maintenance and long life. There are no filters to change or parts clean and the ionizer has a 16 year life.
- Bipolar ionization is a safe, natural and environmentally friendly process using no chemicals, heavy metals or mercury, and produces no harmful by-products such as ozone.
No. Einstein is credited by some, depending on the version of the story, with inventing something called the “potential multiplicator.” Depending on the story teller, that device was something used to measure ions in the air…or it was a precursor to modern ionization technology. The story goes that Einstein’s sister Maria suffered from tuberculosis in the early 1900s and needed to live at a high altitude (treatment of the day). Supposedly, Einstein wanted to understand the difference in the air at high or low altitudes so Maria could have more flexibility in where she lived. In truth, Einstein’s sister never had tuberculosis…so who knows?
