HEPA filters are extreme filters used mostly in hospitals, laboratories, electronics manufacturing facilities and the like. IAQ provides a CERTIFIED HEPA filter for customers that specifically request these types of filters. Each filter is tested to ensure that it complies with the specification for being classified
IAQ has a full line of high-quality filters to suit every application. Filters are designed specifically to fit our equipment with no bypass.
Filters in IAQ’s Rapid Air Filtration units block a number of irritating and harmful airborne particulates, including pollen, animal dander, mold spores, viruses and bacteria, depending on the product’s Minimum Efficiency Rating Value (MERV). Your furnace filter usually has a MERV Rating between 8 and 11. The higher the overall rating, the better the filter’s ability to block more contaminants including smoke and biologicals.
Using IAQ ionizers increases the performance of filters to higher MERV ratings due to the ions making particles bond to each other (agglomeration).
It is recommended that you check your filters at least every three months. If the filter has become discolored or shows other signs of wear, it is time to replace it.
